When it came time to refresh our Women’s Freeride Collection, we had a few ideas in mind. We knew we wanted to see some interesting new shapes and build off of the same design ethos found in across the aisle on the men’s product. But for further guidance, we turned to our most trusted ski testers: the K2 ALLIANCE. And what did they want? Well, they wanted some big ol’ pow skis. They wanted some all-mountain chargers. And some hardpack rulers that didn’t have a speed limit.
SO WHAT DID WE DO? WE BUILT 'EM.
What is the K2 ALLIANCE?
Over 20 years ago, we established the K2 ALLIANCE to bring together a passionate community of female skiers who help us pioneer some of the most significant advancements in women's ski design. Through product testing, prototype evaluation, athlete feedback, ski clinics, camps, on-snow demos, competitions, events, athlete appearances, and educational experiences, the K2 ALLIANCE plays an active role in developing, refining, and sharing the next generation of women's skis and boots. Two decades later, we're still at it. Our ALLIANCE members continue to help test new products, shape design decisions, and tell the story behind our women's collection by sharing their experiences on snow and within the ski community. With every new generation of Freeride Skis and Boots designed in conjunction with the K2 ALLIANCE, we continue that legacy—because we're stronger when we work together toward a common goal.
