Whitefish, Montana native Maggie Voisin has built a name for herself competing in world-class freestyle ski competitions for over a decade. After claiming 3 Olympic and 7 X-Games medals, she has decided to step down from competitive skiing and focus on getting to the backcountry.
Maggie has curated this list of songs that have been the "vibe" and on repeat this summer as she prepares for her first season focused on the backcountry. We had the chance to catch up with Maggie and see what she's been up to this summer and this is what she had to say.
"I had such an epic summer staying home in Montana. After officially "retiring" from competitive skiing this spring, I wanted to enjoy a summer with minimal travel. With training in the past, I never had long stretches to fully relax and decompress, but this summer was a dream. I spent long days hiking in the mountains, backpacking/camping, lounging by the lake, and soaking in everything I love about Montana summers with my friends and family. It was the quality time my mind, body, and soul desperately needed. Now that the seasons are changing and winter is just a few months away, I’m getting so excited for another year of pushing my skiing in the backcountry. Fingers crossed for a big snow year!"
