The all-new Copycat was developed hand in hand with longtime K2 team rider Kennedi Deck. The goal was to deliver an all-inclusive snowboard that’s super fun for cruising around the resort, ripping in the park and can handle any size street spot that Kennedi throws at it.
Throughout the R&D process, we tested a dozen different core profiles to give Kennedi exactly what they were looking for. To bring this vision to life, we chose our Rhythm™ Core construction, engineered specifically to give the board a lot of torsional flex between the bindings. This allows the rider to twist the board more easily with their feet when setting up for a trick as well as giving the board an overall more relaxed feel that’s easier to ride.
The Copycat’s timeless rounded twin shape nods to classic park boards of the past while its Combination Camber profile gives it liveliness and edge hold, with subtle rocker in the tip and tail to keep things loose and catch-free.
A Biax fiberglass layup delivers that perfect balance of flex and strength for a playful, yet stable ride - while Carbon DarkWeb™ stringers extend from the inserts at 45-degree angles, adding snap, control, and confidence when you're locking in an edge or popping off a lip. To keep your speed up through slow zones or deep landings, the Sintered 4000 Base is tough, durable, and absorbs wax like crazy to let you cast a speed hex on every snow type.
